Post loosing supporters
I don't know if it is intentional but looking on facebook, twitter and on here it seems to me you are loosing supporters. just a handful commenting and its getting less each day people are asking for information and getting no response I have sent a personal message and have been completely ignored, I am sure we all understand that you must be very busy preparing the appeal but there are a lot of people out there just waiting to help if they can, sorry for the wing but I am sure I am not the only one I sincerely hope Lennox is well and that he is soon home where he belongs all the best to you all be thinking of you

Im sure it must be really hard for Lennox's family, what with the nasty evil trolls people thinking they are helping by setting up their own sites and all the fake sites going around, think we just need to focus on Lennox and keep supporting the family x

Yes it is very busy and tiresome and we can only update people when we have news to update people with. At the moment we are waiting to hear from the courts regarding a date and time for Lennox's appeal and as we promised once we have that information and/or any other information we always make sure everyone else hears about it. Unfortunately the Family dont have the time everyday to continually post online.

You must remember your supporters are also very busy people but do give up there time to help where they can sending emails here and ther trying to gain more support I fine your comment very rude! this is one person that will not be putting any more time into this, I just pray for Lennox while he sits alone in the appaling conditions he is in knowing I may have been able to help because I WAS prepared to put the time in , you had better delete this post now and take me off your forum !!!!!!!

There was nothing rude about that, Betsy! It was just honest. And making childish demands doesn't help anyone, other than make you look like a fool. If you don't want to be part of the forum, don't log on, simples!

Post Re: loosing supporters
It seems there are those that want to make a simple reply to their question into a argument of sorts. In actual fact Betsy we have never given up on Lennox or his supporters but people like yourself who aren't really supporters need to also understand that the Family have a very sick Child at home also who needs taken care of. I am saddened by your comments and feel sorry that your heart has never actually truly been in this campaign if it had then we are sure you would never have made such a hurtful comment.

As for those that made comments about Victoria Stilwell, well in actual fact the Family have only spoken on the telephone twice to Victoria and on both occasions it was Victoria that called the Family. The Family have always thanked everyone for their precious time and help with Lennox's campaign and all the long term followers and supporters will admit that the Family always thank people for what they have done and continue to do. In no way was the previous post meant to be rude and I am shocked that you felt it was but we have always been honest and upfront about everything regarding this campaign, infact we have been told before that maybe we shouldn't allow so much information out freely. It is for comments like such and slanderous petitions being passed around containing lies and inaccurate information that we are now considering fighting for Lennox behind closed doors so to speak and taking all sites and pages offline for good. Very saddened by your comment and very hurt that you feel in such a way about the campaign and Family.

Post Re: loosing supporters
Although I do think Betsy over reacted in her reply I do also understand the frustration that was probably behind the comment.

There are thousands of people giving up their own time to help in anyway they can with Lennox's appeal. Many people giving up precious time to sign petitions, email hundreds of people, raise awareness within their own communities and basically do whatever they can to help.
I have no doubt whatsoever that Lennox's family is deeply appreciative of all the support that has rallied to help.

However, there have been critical points where many supporters have been online, trying to get first hand information in order to know what best way to go next. The day of the court case was emotional for all involved not just Lennox's family. We have all invested not just time but emotion into Lennox and the FB page on the day of his court case was manic with busy people making every excuse possible to remain on that page.
Once the verdict had come through immediately all supporters were rallying once again to email people and garner support in case of an appeal.
But we could not get a family member to confirm that an appeal would even go ahead for what seemed like days, despite people screaming on FB that we needed the information to know where to go next. It was so frustrating.

I understand that the family needed time to come to terms with the court decision but rumours were flying here, there and everywhere and all it would have taken is one statement from the Barnes to clear everything up and help everyone to get going again.

Betsy is right in that Lennox's supporters DID deserve that.

I'm still actively supportive and always will be until Lennox is returned home. This is not a childish rant, it's simply a view from both sides. I do understand that the Barnes have family priorities and I also know that it will be impossible for them to please everyone and answer everyone.

Hi Linda, yes its very true that the Family wont be able to please everyone all of the time but as many people will confirm the Family made it known less than 15 minutes after the last court hearing that an appeal was being officially lodged and on Twitter also many people retweeted that very message. Again very sorry that you also feel this way Linda.

Post Re: loosing supporters
I've just seen this thread. An I am here to tell you that some of us got together in a private group on Facebook.A lot,if not all,of the planning for the London protest was done by us in there. There is no lack of support at all.It just got split up when trolls ruined the save Lennox page.
We have only been accepting people known by one of us,or who have been friended by one of us and checked out.As a consequence we have kept the group troll and conflict free.
I know there has been some conflict on or between other Lennox pages and that's another reason we have kept it private,so the focus remains on Lennox.
While this hiatus until the appeal continues we are continuing to share the petition link on Facebook and Twitter, which is really all that can be done for right now, given that I think every newspaper, radio station and TV station in the British Isles must know the name of Lennox by now ;)
In the meantime we have been sharing details of other dogs who need help. Those in shelters on death lists due to space issues, injured dogs in shelters who need help with vet costs or fostering or rehoming. I have to say that just about all of them are in America.
There is another dog called Scarlette, think thats how they spell it,who is also under sentence of death and some of us have been sharing her campaign for freedom as well.
Lennox and his family have our full support as they always have.

Hi June, who setup the private Facebook group? We weren't aware of it and never received any type of invite to join.
