I came home today to a letter from the council that my local MP has forwarded to me. Evil Yolanda Elwood Manager of Belfast City Council Dog Wardens department has again complained about our "sustained public campaign" her words, followed up in the next sentence by: "we will not grant visitation rights with Lennox regardless of how many months/years that he may be in Council custody" It seems that Evil Elwood is more concerned about the truth getting out and the fact that she is receiving global bad press than she is concerned about Lennox's well being, as through out all of her letters to MP's and our solicitor she only refers to Lennox as... it. What horrific condition is Lennox in that Evil Elwood doesn't want anyone she doesn't employ to see.

As far as we know Elwood isn't allowed to make such decisions as it is the courts who grant visitation but she can make things quite awkward which she is doing by dragging her feet allowing us to visit Lennox. In a nutshell it seems from what we have heard that Elwood has now got a personal grudge against Lennox and his family simply because they are campaigning so hard for his release and other Dogs like Lennox. Elwood is getting much bad press due to many of her failings over the years and due to Lennox's campaign her failings are being brought to light which she doesn't like.

Yesterday (Tuesday 10th August 2010) was the first hearing regarding Lennox at Belfast Courts. Nothing really happened to report about as this hearing was only to set a date for the main hearing, only took about an hour for the second Court hearing date to be set for 7th September 2010. Although whilst we were at court we had a chance to read over the statements made by the Belfast City Council staff who seized Lennox from his loving home and to be honest I don’t think we read one truthful word in any of the four statements that we read, we really didn't think Belfast City Council would stoup so damn low to secure a death sentence on a poor little girls innocent pet.

I don't understand this Ellwood, she makes no sense, worrying about a so called "dangerous" dog's well being. If she's that worried, she should give the dog back to his owners. I have written and spoke to these people, is there something in their water? They make no sense at all.

It clearly seems Cathy that Elwood has a grudge against this whole global campaign to save Lennox and so she is trying to be as difficult and uncooperative as possible and still hasn't allowed the family to visit Lennox. Belfast City Council have never in their history came up against such a strong following of supporters from around the world fighting for an innocent dogs life and because of this campaign people are questioning Elwood and her staffs actions while also dragging up her past history and so she really doesn’t like this campaign. Elwood has even gone as low as anyone could get and lied to the councils own solicitors that the family "might" use the dog for fighting! Ridiculous as the family pictures clearly show that Lennox is much loved, more so the family actually foster dogs for various dog rescue groups and continue to do so even now whilst fighting for Lennox. Elwood is quote "angered by the very public campaign" that she continually mentions it to local MP's who show their support for Lennox and the family solicitor (see attachment picture) in all her correspondence. Elwood and her department thought that like most families Lennox's owners would simply sign him over to be murdered and that would be it, but because the family remain strong and have fought continually alongside Lennox's campaign supporters Elwood has reduced herself to telling lies in an aid to strengthen her case to have Lennox murdered.

On the day Belfast City Council seized innocent Lennox they produced a warrant of seizure, the warrant Belfast City Council Dog Wardens produced was not only the wrong type of warrant for a seizure but completely for another address at another part of Belfast. In actual fact Belfast City Council removed Lennox illegally... They stole him!
Instead of admitting they have made yet another major blunder in this case and returning Lennox to his home Belfast City Council have instead decided to throw vast amounts of cash at this case by flying so called dog breed experts from mainland UK in an aid to secure a death sentence for Lennox and hopefully by winning their case Belfast City Council Dog Wardens department can cover up the major continuous errors and lies they have made and told regarding Lennox's case.

After many useless court appearences the first of the proper court hearings regarding Lennox will be held on the 23rd November 2010. Should there be any further changes or updates to this we will update here.
