Post Lennox Locked In Undisclosed & Unsuitable Kennel
This picture was sent to us recently from an unknown source. This picture of Lennox locked in an unsuitable, undisclosed kennel clearly shows Belfast City Council's practice of humane animal welfare. Poor Lennox, not a toy or water dish to be seen and clearly very small kennel.

this is so sad, looking at this poor dogs makes me mad, if people were to leave a dog looked up like this they would be done for cruelty, if they are going to take dogs they should at least have the decency to care for them dogs and their needs, this is so wrong. did you ever get in touch with the people that worked on the Bruce case??

This picture clearly demonstrates the councils thoughts on humane animal welfare, to the rest of us it is more reason why we must fight for Lennox and others like him.
Our current Solicitor is Alison Douglas who also acted as Bruce's Solicitor. Fingers crossed that she does a good job on 23rd November!

I'm sure I would get a prison sentence if I did that to an animal. Certainly I wouldn't be allowed to keep a dog ever if I thought that was meeting it's needs! Unbelievable!! He's got 5 years loving family care behind him however so I hope he'll be ok for a while yet - you can imagine the 7 month puppy wouldn't have stood a chance.

Every member of the public would get jailed for this type of inhumane treatment. Just because they hide behind a flawed evil law and wear a uniform shouldn't make them excempt from cruelty charges!

Post Lennox Appeal Update
For those that havent already heard today. Caroline was at court to lodge appeal, appeal was granted but no formal date fixed as yet, legal team are arranging that and once we have further info regarding the date we will without doubt let everyone know as and when we do.

Whilst at court today, Belfast City Council applied for their 11 months inhumane kenneling and case costs to be paid by the Family, a grand total of £7,000 was requested, however the Judge ruled against it. Can't pay what you ain't got! Anyway a small victory yes but don't celebrate just yet because should the appeal go against us then then council could again apply for a higher amount to be paid by the Family.

£7,000 strange as an FOI (Freedom Of Information) request to council stated they had paid no costs for Lennox's keep or their so called "expert" so where the hell did they calculate £7k from? Makes you wonder just how much money the council paid out to a self acclaimed expert Peter Tallack!

Hello people, Clare Campbell here :) just wondered 1) if its ok to let people know the appeal is a go? there were nearly 40,000 on the page supporting and believe me all us 'regulars' are getting asked daily in pm for an update. Am i allowed to post a status to say 'appeal granted date not set yet'.
2) rescue kennels charge (on average) £11 a day to house, feed and water a dog.. times the amount (£11) x 350 days (just to round it up) and u get £3,850. Unless this is the Ritz of pounds (HA) how can they justify double the amount? Enough rescue places are supporting you, it shouldnt be too hard to get an average amount for facilities far better than those which little Lennox is being kept in. Just a thought :) xxx oh and hellooo

Hi Clare great to have you here. Course its ok to let people know, whilst at it tell everyone that we're here now and not on Facebook... well not on Facebook for a while anyway. Great job with the stats, think we can all see that Lens current home is far from the Ritz, more like the Ritz after the recent London demonstrations! Thanks

Phew :D that'll stop a lot of inbox messages each day lol. Do you want me to post this link on facebook or on twitter? Dont want the odd few who may have added a troll by accident forwarding this on their pages so the trolls find this address. Have u checked the petition recently? You're nearly at 40,000 !!! oh yes, does a lil boogie (that's 20,000 in a week !)
