 Next Steps...
I'd like this thread to be for proactive supporters, such as myself, who are getting 'writers block' with campaign ideas! I can't make any of the protests, although I did take part in last weeks mass media email campaign, and the 'share, tweet, RT' drive too.
So what is next? Repeat the mass media emails? Target my own local media? Target local MPs? What do you guys think could make a REAL difference, my brain is mushed!

 Re: Next Steps...
We without doubt need to get local MP's more active and interested in this case, especially as theres elections looming quite soon in Northern Ireland.
Definately need to get more media involved also, the more people hear of Lennox's plight the better not only for Len but many many others just like him.

 Re: Next Steps...
Thanks, Admin! I just feel that like some other Lennox supporters, I felt that I'd run out of ideas, and it's always good to get direction and a fresh pair of eyes for these things! Will get started on MPs in the morning, starting locally, and working outwards

I'm in the US, so I don't understand how your laws work. Can you tell us what's involved in the appeal? Can you use the negative info people have found about Elwood? Can you bring your own experts to evaluate Lennox?

 Re: Next Steps...
Hi, yes we have had our own experts and again will have them at the appeal. Basically the appeal is another court hearing not disimilar from the last but with an aim to overturn the last Judge's decision and allowing Lennox back to his own Family where he belongs and with the people he knows.
Unfortunately any (and many of them) wrongs that Yolanda Elwood has made in the past don't really have much strength in court as they are unrelated to the case at hand, although agreeing with you it would be nice to through past mistakes and errors made by her and her team up in court.

Hi admin, on the subject of media attention, have you heard anything from the Nolan show since, thought they might be gathering information to go back on the story...what i heard was not the views of the people...we need that show to do an honest programme about the case.

 Re: Next Steps...
Hi Admin Don't know if this will be of any help but I have been in contact with DARD several times by email and phone with regards to the terrible conditions that Lennox is being kept in at first DARD kept saying it was nothing to do with them as council pounds do not come under there jurisdiction but after a few emails and telephone conversation DARD rang the council to establish what sort of accommodation Lennox was at, DARD got back to me to let me know he was in a private boarding kennel but still insisted it was nothing to do with them. It has now been pointed out to them that as being a private boarding establishment regulated by DARD the quality of accommodation did in fact fall under there jurisdiction so I am insisting they do a visit to the kennels to establish that the regulations are being adhered to with regard to duty of care. I have saved all emails but sorry none mention the name of the kennels I hope I have been doing the right thing but felt I could not sit back

ps
Having said I don't have the name of the kennels there is the fact that only a few private kennels have that sort of agreement with the councils and you will usually find your local dog rehoming centres know which these are then its only a process of elimination as most kennels will allow you to see there establishments if you tell them you are considering using them when you go on holiday a quick look round could be all you need to find him at least then you will know where he is xx

 Re: Next Steps...
Will there be any Belfast peaceful protest? I know there will be one in London, (I read that on facebook), but I'd be more able to attend one in Belfast then in London as I could drive up.And I really want to make a stand on this. Maybe I'm wrong, but wouldn't it make more sense to have it in Belfast anyway?
